Lance Renault Biography:Lance M. Renault retired in March '08 as Chief Program Officer for American Leprosy Missions (ALM International). In 1971 Lance received his Master’s Degree in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management and began his career in international relief and development work with a three-year assignment as business administrator for the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction in the Philippines. Since that first exposure to the developing world Lance has been using his talents and education working with international relief and development organizations. Returning to the United States in 1974, Lance joined the staff of Compassion International, a Christian child-sponsoring agency. As Director of Administration, his responsibilities included travel to developing countries. In 1986 he joined American Leprosy Missions as Overseas Program Administrator and traveled extensively, visiting ALM’s programs in Asia, Latin America and Africa. At ALM he has also been responsible for various fundraising activities. In 1996 Lance was appointed as Chief Program Officer with overall responsibilities for ALM’s leprosy treatment and rehabilitation projects around the world. Through the years Lance has been a Boy Scout advisor, member of Rotary International, President of Christian Management Association, an Elder in the Presbyterian Church, and a Senior Warden in the Episcopal Church. He is currently a member of the Third Order of the Society of St. Francis and an active member of the Anglican Church of St. George the Martyr. Lance’s interests include his church, hiking, fly fishing, computers, and reading. Lance has four children and is married to Susan Renault, who also served on the staff of American Leprosy Missions. |
